Nice.
Nice.
Exacty, besides, no …
Exacty, besides, no Chi = no life, lol how could there be no Chi? Do people think those muscles work on their own? What is the point of the huanyuan postures, what r they gathering if it’s not Chi? lol As I was taught, Yi Chuan posts develop and gather the Chi, and the releasing force is done less than the gathering so as to always keep more Chi.
and the european …
and the european people, live from konsum and so ;O(
me to .(so bad i know……
i give me no time for it.
this is the truth.
so bad ,,, so bad.
Awesome.
This is …
Awesome.
This is really tasteful and informative.
Thank you so much !
Empty mind films rules.
Nobody else makes accurate, beautiful martial arts documentaries anymore. But these guys put their hearts in it. Man I love the stuff they make.
The rest seem cheesy, shallow and MTV influenced.
Yiquan is what Wang …
Yiquan is what Wang Xiangzhai belived to be at the essence of the internal martial arts, and it doesn’t rely on qi theory for it to be taught to students.
“In Yi Quan there …
“In Yi Quan there is no reliance on Qi…” 1:52 INCORRECT
Wang Xiangzhai developed the qi kung system, mind/intent boxing system from Hsing-I. The system is intent and qi.
-and where the mind goes the qi follows.
…well not …
…well not precisely. Cultures all over the wolrd use push hands. Just to mention one, the Greco/Romans have been doing this for thousands of years too, granted it’s a little more rough.
I can certainly agree with how you may have come to your conclusion though.
They have pushing …
They have pushing hands. Tai Chi also have pushing hands. Wing Chun also have sticky hands.
This kind of hand-to-hand sensitivity drill is like a trademark unique to Chinese martial arts.
Nature fist or …
Nature fist or natural school boxing is known as Ziranmen. The offshoot of Yiquan in Japan is known as TaiKiKen.
I love and practice …
I love and practice the internal styles. My favorite being daitoryu. But until you can make the internal come out in a split second notice you will half to rely on your novice practice. Even so called masters have a hard time using pure chi. perfect the basics to understand the secrets. Basics are the way to superioridty.
coincidentally this …
coincidentally this style is somewhat popular in japan and has some offshoots there as well. Does anyone know of another rare style that is hard to find about? it’s called nature fist or natural school boxing?
Excellent school …
Excellent school Yiquan, good wizard Cui Ruibin and Gong Dong. At sdeduyuschy year plan to go there again.
does anyone know …
does anyone know how i can train with this teacher.iam from the uk
There commentator …
There commentator was correct when he sd yiquan does not practice chi theory. If you read the later writings of Wang zhenzhai (founder of yiquan), you will see that. Also all of the teachings of master yao his successor. Standing everyday will only help if you study with an yiquan master. Otherwise, the door is closed.
The reason that I ” …
The reason that I “don’t believe you” is that there is absolutely no proof to back up your claim. I don’t have any emotional investment in proving you wrong, just an investment in not supporting false information about Shaolin. Treating me as if I am being quarrelsome is a rather desperate tactic. Just admit that you are wrong, it’s easier?
Fascinating!
Fascinating!
since you also …
since you also practice shaolin style, i consider you a brother, or sister(which ever you are) and do not wish to argue or question your knowledge, if you still do not believe me i will not try to force you, i only hope that your training goes well for you. i wish you peace in this life and the next
i in no way intend …
i in no way intend to question you master’s knowledge or his legitimacy, but i must stress that, due to the quantity of styles practiced at the shaolin temples, for any single monk to know them all, would be nearly impossible. now maybe, the drunken monkey style was developed out of the temple, i do not know for sure myself. and maybe it is not wildly practiced, but,i do know that there are martial monks who practice the style. now,
anyway, since you …
anyway, since you asked, my teachers name is Steven Baugh.he is not my only teacher,or the one who taught me monkey style, but he is the head of my school. im not claiming to know more than you or your teacher, all i am saying is, yes i have personally seen a shaolin monk, from the temple, not a “shaolin” school, perform drunken monkey style, and not on youtube or anything, i seen him in person. and i personally practice the style.
well, you spelled …
well, you spelled my screen name wrong XD
Tenmanptenshi, my …
Tenmanptenshi, my master trained at the Shaolin Temple in Henan, THE Shaolin temple. The Shaolin Temple does not now, nor have they ever in their history, recognized the existence of a Shaolin Drunken Monkey style. You can ask the ABbot of the Shaolin Temple in Henan if you have any doubts. And I, too, have training in Drunken Style and have experience with Monkey style as well, and I know first hand from many Henan Temple trained masters, there is no Drunken Monkey style. And YOUR master is…?
i am no trying to …
i am no trying to say that these people lied, im just saying, it is possible they were not true masters. not that i am a master at all or anything, just something to be considered. you should consider that of all the animal styles, and weapon styles of shaolin, there is a drunken variation of almost every one. and, since there are hundreds of shaolin styles, there is now way any monk could know them all, so maybe your monks just dont know drunken monkey
well, i know …
well, i know because i personally practice shaolin monkey style, and the drunken variation. infact, monkey is my specialty. there are more than one shaolin temple you know, and styles that hold lineage to the temple, but were not necessarily made in the temple. maybe your monk masters trained at a temple, or school that did not have a drunken monkey style. and really, anyone who is bald, chinese, knows wushu, and wears a robe can claim to be a master these days.
Fascinating….Who …
Fascinating….Who told you there is a shaolin drunken monket style? And why is it that 7 shaolin monk masters in the states say there isn’t? Did you just see some ignorant titles on youtube or do you have proof from a Shaolin master monk?
there is a shaolin …
there is a shaolin drunken monkey style…
